Elizabeth A. Ford, DO
Elizabeth A. Ford, DO is a fellowship-trained orthopedic sports medicine surgeon specializing in the treatment of sports-related injuries, joint preservation, and minimally invasive arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder, hip, and knee.
She completed her Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at Allegheny Health Network, where she received advanced training in hip arthroscopy, cartilage restoration, ACL reconstruction and restoration, shoulder instability, rotator cuff repair and complex shoulder surgery. Prior to fellowship, she served as Chief Resident at Inspira Health Network Orthopedic Residency and was recognized as Resident of the Year and Outstanding Research Resident.
Dr. Ford has authored more than 45 peer-reviewed publications and numerous book chapters and presentations focused on sports medicine, arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, cartilage preservation, and innovative orthopedic technologies. Her research has received national recognition, including multiple research awards from the American Osteopathic Association of Orthopedics and the Orthopedic Summit.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Ford has served as medical staff for the Pittsburgh Pirates, USA Men's Rugby, Pittsburgh Riverhounds Soccer Club, and high school athletics, providing comprehensive care to athletes of all levels. She is committed to helping patients return safely and confidently to the activities they enjoy through evidence-based, personalized orthopedic care.
