As a regenerative medicine specialist, Dr. Tursi has developed protocols using platelet-rich plasma (PRP), amniotic membrane, and umbilical cord–derived injections to treat common foot and ankle conditions non-surgically.

Dr. Frank J. Tursi is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon with nearly 20 years of experience specializing in complex foot and ankle deformities, vascular disease of the lower extremities, diabetic wound management, and regenerative medicine. He is the Chief of Foot and Ankle Surgery at Virtua and Inspira Health and serves as a foot and ankle consultant to the Philadelphia Flyers and Philadelphia Phantoms, a role he has held for more than 30 years.

Dr. Tursi completed his medical education at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine (formerly the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine) and his surgical residency at Atlanta Hospital and Regional Diabetes Center in Atlanta, Georgia. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

A leader in vascular and wound care, Dr. Tursi is nationally recognized for his work in Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) diagnosis and treatment and has delivered more than 70 lectures across the country. He serves in multiple national roles, including Podiatric and Wound Care Chairman for New Cardiovascular Horizons, National PAD Director for Azura Vascular Care, and Podiatric Surgical Consultant for National Cardiovascular Partners. He has also held chief podiatric consultant positions with organizations such as Spectranetics Corporation, AngioScore, Navix Diagnostix Inc., Fresenius Vascular Care, Advanced Vascular Resources, and Alliqua Biomedical.
