Dr. Sean McMillan is a fellowship-trained orthopedic sports medicine specialist with advanced expertise in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, hip, and knee. He is among a select group of surgeons performing reverse total shoulder replacement, offering cutting-edge options for patients with complex shoulder conditions who may not be candidates for traditional replacement procedures.

Dr. McMillan serves as the Chief of Orthopedics and Director of Orthopedic Sports Medicine at Lourdes Medical Center of Burlington County. In addition to his clinical leadership, he is an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine (RU-SOM), where he is actively involved in training the next generation of orthopedic surgeons. He lectures across the country, teaching arthroscopic techniques and advanced orthopedic procedures to his peers.

With a strong background in sports medicine, Dr. McMillan has cared for athletes at every level. He previously served as a team physician within the Boston Red Sox organization, focusing on the AAA Pawtucket Red Sox, and has provided coverage for professional, collegiate, and high school teams. Whether treating elite athletes or active individuals of any age, his goal is to restore function, relieve pain, and help patients return safely to the activities they love.
